Our philosophy....

....is very simple. It is to cultivate a wide variety of fine produce embracing organic farming principles throughout, to supply the needs and requirements of our local community. We strive continually both to broaden the range and availability of our produce and to improve and perfect its quality.

We maintain that our commitment to organic methods and material is fundamental to our philosophy and to the well being and satisfaction of our customers. We believe that farming success is based on a cooperative approach - not just with our suppliers and other farmers but with you, our local customers.

Visit us and discover how we operate and satisfy yourselves that we practise what we preach. We actively encourage your participation in our enterprise with your observations, ideas and comments. Help us to help you.

Our farm comprises over 500 acres of outstanding natural beauty. We are a short scenic drive from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury and the Kent Cinque Ports.

Our arable investment includes newly planted orchards bearing many varieties of apples and pears and other varietes of cherries and plums. We have extended our operation to include production of strawberries, rasperries, blackcurrants and goosberries.

With our output of potatoes, beans and varieties of root and other vegetables, we have the capacity to supply fresh produce for a significant proportion of the year.

Our livestock includes free range chickens, sheep and cattle - all organically fed and nurtured.

Our animals represent an important and substantial asset of our farm. Our free range poultry, our sheep and our pedigree Aberdeen Angus herd are all reared on organic foodstuffs.

Currently we are working towards a closed flock and herds to ensure the health and provenance of our meat products. We pride ourselves on the extraordinarily high standards of animal husbandry that we employ. This includes not only the rearing of the animals but the treatment and methods undertaken at our recently acquired abbatoir - the locally renowned Coopers of Aldington, near Ashford.

With the addition of this local facility, we exercise control over the entirety of the meat supply chain and ensure the quality of our products.

Our food is amongst the best you will ever taste. No additives are utilised in animal feeds and the careful treatment of our animals, with short journey times and as stress free an environment as possible to arrange, results in meat of indisputably high quality.

Similarly, our arable produce benefits hugely from our dedication to organic inputs and methods. There are no cocktails of man made fertilisers, only natural minerals and manure to ensure that the end product is as pure as possible. Do not expect supermarket conformity when viewing our arable produce, but do expect an uncompromising excellence in taste. A triumph of content over form!!

And try our eggs from our truly free range laying flock. You will experience a texture, colour and flavour that will surpass your highest expectation.

Our shop lies at the heart of our farm, both geographically and in relation to our philosophy. Here you can purchase the quality produce into which our efforts and adherence to organic principles have been channelled. You will find it all simply displayed and readily available - and all very affordable.

We do not subscribe to the belief that high quality, organically produced and flavoursome food must command a profit inflating premium. It is everyone's right, surely, to enjoy the very best of what nature creates to sustain us, at a reasonable cost.

(Please, as mentioned elsewhere on this web site, mention www.made-in-kent.co.uk as the place you discovered these quality producers or stockists of locally sourced produce.)

Recommended buys from Jubilee Farm: Smoked bacon (it fries in the pan, it doesn't boil first!!!), organic lamb, organic free range eggs, organic parsnips. These are the items we have tried personally and can recommend them.

They are also selling mutton - the only place we have found to do so.
