Over the years we have heard of disappointed couples who, after their wedding, realised that the fee charged by their wedding photographer only covered his attendance and a disk of proof images when they thought they had paid for a disk of print ready images. Before booking your wedding photographer it is therefore important that you are clear on exactly what you are paying. A professional photographer will provide you with a written contract setting out all their terms and conditions; make sure you read the small print!
When you meet with a photographer, here are some questions you’ll want to ask:
- What packages are offered and how many photos are included in each package?
- Are all wedding images included in print ready format or do you have to purchase them?
- What is the cost for additional time or photos?
- How much is the deposit and when is it due?
- When is the balance due?
- Is there a travel charge?
- Are the images available for family/friends to purchase, and if so, do you have to wait a specified time before you can purchase them?
The Kent Wedding Photographer offers transparent pricing - there will be no hidden costs, you will receive a disk of all your images for your personal use and although we do offer bespoke wedding albums you will not be forced into buying them.
