Energy companies are being urged to increase the rate of installing home insulation to meet targets.

BREAKING NEWS. TIME LIMITED OFFER.

100% funding is available for far more home owners and private tenants than ever before. Apply now or you may miss out.

Energy prices are on the rise. There's only one way to save on energy bills - use less. But what's the catch?

We're in a bit of a Catch 22 situation in this country.

The energy companies have to reduce their CO2 emissions by several hundred million lifetime tonnes - or suffer fines of up to 10% of their global profits and the best way to achieve this is by insulating those amongst the worst offenders - homes.

But, the very fact is that they need to spend money to do so. And of course, as they make homes more efficient, they will be supplying less energy to them.

In order to maintain profits, energy prices therefore have to rise.

What this means is, the more homes that are insulated, the higher energy prices will need to be. But if you do NOT insulate your home, you'll be the one to suffer from higher spend on energy consumption you haven't taken steps to reduce.

There are so called 'super priority groups' - those on benefits, low incomes, the over 70s etc who can receive free insulation, whilst the rest can get it heavily discounted.

The situation isn't perfect, but the best advice to you as an individual home owner, or private tenant, is to get your home insulated as soon as possible, especially as the cooler months are now upon us. Visit http://bit.ly/gov-grants and apply for yours. You'll be contacted by a reputable surveyor who can advise you on the situation.

No expense spared, we're using Joomla, the open source web platform, with its excellent Content Management System (CMS), to make the site content, in large part, user generated.

Come on board, Kent manufacturers, including food producers, along with those companies which provide support to them, such as the invaluable accountants, promotional companies, printers, electrical equipment testers and the like.

We hope to make this site, not merely a business directory, but also a forum where you can have your say, from your latest successes, to general company news, or simply to have a rant.
